We are now in the 250th year of our country’s life.

We should take this opportunity to celebrate and also cultivate the civic knowledge and engagement necessary to continue our experiment in self-governance. Self-governance depends on citizens who understand it, participate in it and sustain it.

IMPACT Park County MT is a grassroots initiative of citizen residents who participate in various activities that address the myriad of problems facing Park County. IMPACT is crucial because it allows individuals to become informed about and influence decisions that affect their lives.

IMPACT’s civic engagement activities encompass public dialogue, advocacy, organizing around shared concerns and staying informed about county issues. The goals in all these endeavors are to foster transparency, influence policy decisions and hold elected officials accountable. In the process, IMPACT members exchange ideas, invest in finding solutions and employ civilized discourse to address the problems facing our county.

IMPACT members have and continue to display their civic leadership. Their efforts have positively impacted Park County through dedicated volunteer work that has benefited the county through their unique skills and knowledge.

Between work, family and other commitments, it can be difficult to find time to  get involved. There are many paths for civic engagement. Becoming a member of IMPACT is one we hope and encourage you to consider.
